How do I add a Windows startup process to the allowed list of System Mechanic’s Startup Guard?

Answer

  1. Open System Mechanic
  2. From the main navigation panel select Toolbox (or Tools)>Individual Tools to display a list of tool categories.
  3. From the category list select Enhance Protection, locate the Configure Automatic System Defense tool, then click the corresponding Start button.
  4. Select the Startup Guard tab.
  5. Click the Edit Allowed List button and select Add.
  6. Browse to the location of the executable for the process you wish to allow and select it, then click OK.
  7. Click the Edit Allowed List button to return to the main Automatic System Defense window.
