The Filter Results menu on the Search Results screen allows you to narrow results and display only those files that meet your criteria.
The menu options – Show Specific File Types, Custom (and Edit custom filter), and Show Everything – are described below.
The Show Specific File Types option allows you to filter results based on a general file type. You can select one or more of these file types.
From the Filter Results menu, click Show Specific File Types and then click the desired file type: Documents; Pictures and Photos; Movies; Songs and Sounds; Programs and Applications; or Internet Files. (Click each listed file type to display a list of its applicable file extensions.)
After selecting a file type, the menu closes and the list refreshes, displaying only those files of the selected file type.
