Search Results - Terminate Menu and Link

You can terminate deleted files found by Search and Recover. This is useful if you see a sensitive file that you thought was deleted, but actually still exists.

To terminate a file:

To select a single file, click on the row to highlight it .
To select multiple files, select the check box next to each file.
To select all of the displayed files, click Select All from the Edit menu. All of the check boxes will be selected.

To select a single file, click on the icon in the left pane to highlight it .
To select multiple files, select the check box next to each file in the left pane.
To select all of the displayed files, click Select All from the Edit menu. All of the check boxes will be selected.

If you have:

A single file highlighted : On the left side of the window, click Terminate this file; OR, from the Terminate menu, click the file name.
Single or multiple files selected : From the Terminate menu, click Selected (X files) [where X is the number of files you have selected].

If you have:

Single file highlighted : Click the red (X) symbol in the viewer toolbar; OR, from the Terminate menu, click the file name.
Single or multiple files selected : From the Terminate menu, click Selected (X files) [where X is the number of files you have selected].

Note: For multiple files, a File Termination Progress window displays, showing the progress of the termination. (You can click Cancel if you want to halt the process.)

The files are permanently deleted and will no longer display on the Search Results screen.
