Description:
One of the most serious threats to users is emails containing links to web-sites containing exploits or malware. This heuristic attempts to block or limit this type of email.It focuses on detecting link patterns that has proven to be used more for phishing than for legitimate uses. This can include URL’s that does not contain a hostname, but only an IP address. The vast majority of legitimate uses of an URL are by using a hostname.When executedOnce the link is clicked by the user the behavior will depend on the web location the user is taken to. This can include the installation of multiple pieces of malware.
