iolo AntiVirus Icon - Display and Menu Options

Upon installation, iolo AntiVirus is enabled and its icon sits in your system tray. The icon:

• Changes color to indicate various states for real-time protection, so that you can easily see the status of your security.

• Offers menu options, so that you can quickly access and change antivirus settings.

States of Real-time Protection

The icon changes color to indicate various states for real-time protection.

Displays with a white background when real-time protection is enabled.

Dimmed display when real-time protection is snoozed (temporarily disabled).

Displays with a red background when real-time protection is disabled.

Displays a green circle with a rotating clock hand when a scheduled scan is running.

Icon Menu Options

When you click on the iolo AntiVirus icon, it opens a menu with various options.

Each menu option is listed below (all menu options won't display for all users). Click on a menu name to view more information.

• Open iolo AntiVirus opens the Home page.

  Click Open iolo AntiVirus to open the Home page. This window allows you to view and configure antivirus settings, view antivirus history, update software, and get help using the application.

• Snooze Real-Time Protection temporarily disables real-time protection.

• Cancel Real-Time Protection snooze cancels a previously set snooze.

  To cancel a snooze before the entered time runs out, click Cancel Real-Time Protection snooze. (More on the snooze function.)

• Shut down iolo AntiVirus turns off iolo AntiVirus and removes its icon from the system tray.

  Click Shut down iolo AntiVirus to disable the program and remove the icon from your system tray.

   

  When the antivirus is shut down, you cannot access the functions offered by the icon, which includes opening the Home page to configure settings.

   

  When selected, a confirmation window displays; click Yes to continue. To have the program enable itself the next time you start or restart your computer, select the Start iolo AntiVirus when my computer starts check box.

  Note: Shutting down iolo AntiVirus makes your computer vulnerable to attack.

  This option displays for evaluation customers.

   

  Click Purchase iolo AntiVirus to process a payment through iolo's secure online ordering system. With the purchase of a license, you can have permanent use of iolo AntiVirus in minutes.
