Anti-malware - Know the status of your anti-malware protection

To access:

Under Internet Security on the navigation bar, click Anti-malware.

What it does:

The Anti-malware pane provides information about the status of your anti-malware protection.

Why use it:

Protection from viruses and spyware is vital to secure Internet activity, and staying informed about the status of this protection is essential to safe computing.

Instructions:

The pane displays various status messages to keep you informed about your system's protection.

If you have System Shield:

System Shield is integrated into System Mechanic for seamless updates and configurations. You can view a snapshot of the status and access all the functions in the program. Click here for instructions on using System Shield.

If you have a 3rd party anti-malware or anti-malware software is not detected:

You can view the status of your protection and run the following functions from the Options button:

Click View more information to read more about internet security software or access related information in this help system.
Click Refresh anti-malware status to have System Mechanic check the status again.
Click Turn off anti-malware monitoring to disable System Mechanic’s anti-malware monitoring. (To re-enable monitoring, click Turn on anti-malware monitoring.)
