Overview of the Options window
The Boot-Time tab allows you to control when boot-time actions are run.
Boot-time actions run when the computer is started or restarted, before the operating system loads. Boot-time actions are run by System Mechanic tools that:
Defragment the registry. This process defragments the registry.
Defragment files at boot-time. This process defragments core system files that can only be processed prior to the operating system loading.
If you want to disable boot-time actions during a specific time frame, select the check box and enter the start and end times in the time fields. The difference between the times cannot exceed 18 hours.
