Report

Overview of Track Changes wizard

The Report screen shows the results of a comparison. This screen displays immediately after running a comparison or when you load a previously saved report.

View report information

The report displays data grouped into the file types (registry files, standard files and folders, and .INI files) and file actions (changed, deleted, and added).

 

To expand a group and view its contents, click the plus (+) symbol. To expand all groups, click Expand all from the Tools menu. (Click Collapse all to collapse all groups.)

 

An entry displays for each file in the group:

Save reports

To save a report, click Save. A standard Save As window will open. Navigate to the desired location and click Save. Reports are saved with an .RPT extension.

 

To export report results to a text file, click Export. A standard Save As window will open. Name the file, navigate to the desired location, and click Save.

Open a report

To open another report, click Open Report. The window will refresh and show the results of the just-opened report.
