Overview of Securely Delete Files wizard

On the first screen of the wizard, add the files and folders that you want to incinerate.

To add files for incineration

To add files to the list, you can either:

• Use a drag-and-drop operation to move files to the pane.

  1. Click on the file or files you want to incinerate (such as from the desktop or Windows Explorer).

  2. Hold down the mouse and drag the files to the pane.

  3. The cursor will change to indicate that it is over an area of the page that will accept data.

  	Indicates your cursor is in an area that will accept the data.
  	Indicates your cursor is over an area that cannot accept data.

   

  4. Release the mouse.

• Click Add files. An Add Files window opens. Navigate to the desired file and click OK. You can also select multiple files as you normally would using the CTRL and SHIFT keys.

To add a folder for incineration

To add folders to the list, you can either:

• Use a drag-and-drop operation to move folders to the pane.

  1. Click on the folder or folders you want to incinerate (such as from the desktop or Windows Explorer).

  2. Hold down the mouse and drag the folders to the pane.

  3. The cursor will change to indicate that it is over an area of the page that will accept data.

  	Indicates your cursor is in an area that will accept the data.
  	Indicates your cursor is over an area that cannot accept data.

   

  4. Release the mouse.

• Click Add folder. An Add folder window opens. Navigate to the desired folder and click OK.

To remove an item from the list

To remove an item from the list, select it and click Remove Selected.

When you have made your selections, click Next to configure options.
