Scan Files or Folders Window

To access:

bluearrow.bmp

From the On-Demand Scanning pane, click Scan a file or folder.

What it does:

The Scan Files or Folders window allows you to start the scanning process for the files or folders that you specify.

Instructions:

The window displays a hierarchical view of the drives, folders, and files on your computer. The window is structured much like Windows Explorer, with folders listed on the left and folder contents listed on the right.

  1. Select the one or more files or folders that you want to scan.

letter.gif Note: You can select multiple files from the right side of the window as you would in Windows Explorer, using the CTRL and SHIFT keys.

  1. If you select a folder that has one or more subfolders, you can select the Scan subfolders check box to include subfolders in the scan. Clear the check box if you don't want to scan subfolders.

  2. Click Scan. The scanning process begins and the window displays scan progress and results. See View On-Demand Scanning for detailed information on this screen.
