Overview of Manage Zone Members window

Use the Add Visited Web Sites window to quickly add those Web sites that you've already visited to the Trusted Zone.

  1. Open the Add Visited Web Site window. The window lists the recently visited Web sites that are in your History and the Web sites that are saved as Favorites. The following details display:

  2. Site Name. The domain name of the Web site.

  3. Zone. The Zone that the site belongs to. Either Trusted Zone or Internet Zone displays. Any site that hasn't been assigned to a Zone is automatically a member of the Internet Zone.

  1. Select a single site or select multiple sites:

Note: If a site is already assigned to a Zone as part of an IP range, the options described in the following steps #3 and #4 are not available. To make changes, instead edit the IP range.

  1. To add a site or group of sites to the Trusted Zone:

  2. For a single site  highlighted , click Trust this site.

  3. For single or multiple sites selected , click Trust selected.

  1. To remove a site or group of sites from the Trusted Zone:

(Remember, any computer that has not been assigned to the Trusted Zone is automatically a member of the Internet Zone.)

  1. For a single site  highlighted , click Don't trust this site.

  2. For single or multiple sites selected , click Don't trust selected.

  1. Click Save to save your changes and close the window; click Cancel to close the window without saving.

You will return to the Manage Zone Members window. Any sites added to the Trusted Zone will display, with a type of "Site or Host" and a description of "Visited website".

Note: Since any site that is not a member of the Trusted Zone is automatically in the Internet Zone, sites that were added to the Internet Zone from this window will not display on the Manage Zone Members window.

You can always view a list of the sites that have defaulted to the Internet Zone or that you added to the Internet Zone by opening the Add Visited Web Sites window.
