Overview of the Options window

On the ActiveCare tab, you can control settings for ActiveCare Report email notifications and access settings that control when ActiveCare runs Automated Tasks. (Read more about ActiveCare's Automated Tasks.)

ActiveCare Reports

ActiveCare Reports are web-based reports that summarize your PC's status over a specific time period. You can see what optimizations and repairs System Mechanic has performed, and track changes to your PC's health and security.  

To receive an email when a new ActiveCare Report is ready for viewing:

  1. Type a nickname to identify your computer in the Computer Nickname/Description field. System Mechanic enters a default name, but you may change it if you wish.

    The nickname is helpful if you have System Mechanic installed on more than one PC and want to track their ActiveCare activity separately.

  2. Select the Send me an email when a new ActiveCare Report is ready for viewing check box. One additional field will display.

  3. Type your email address in the Send to the following email address field. (Email addresses are not disclosed to any third parties and are securely stored.)

Advanced Options

You can change default settings to control when ActiveCare runs Automated Tasks, to control the display of ActiveCare progress, and to control the submission of performance data for ActiveCare Reports.

 

Click Edit Advanced Options to open the window.
