System Mechanic Options window

SafetyNet tab

Overview of the Options window

The SafetyNet tab controls whether "undo" information is saved for certain functions. For a function that has its undo information saved, the SafetyNet feature will be able to reverse associated actions and revert your computer to its prior state.

Select the Save Undo Information check box for every function that you want to be able to save undo information for. Clear the check box for every function you do not need to save undo information for.

Maximize Performance Tools

Controls whether undo information is saved for the Optimize Internet Settings tool.

Enhance Protection Tools

Controls whether undo information is saved for the Fix Security Vulnerabilities tool.

Repair Problems Tools

Controls whether undo information is saved for the Repair Registry Problems and Repair Broken Shortcuts tools.

Clean Up System Clutter Tools

Controls whether undo information is saved for the Find and Remove Junk Files tool.

Note: We recommend that you do NOT save undo information for the Find and Remove Junk Files tool. Because this tool cleans out unneeded PC clutter, most users will not need to recover these files. Additionally, backing up unneeded files significantly increases the processing time of the Remove Junk Files wizard.
