From the Individual Tools pane, click Repair Problems and then click Start next to Repair Registry Problems.
The Repair Registry Problems wizard removes invalid and obsolete data references from the registry.
The registry is vital to your computer's ability to run correctly and when it becomes corrupted, overall degraded performance occurs. It is recommended that specialized software be used to make registry changes, rather than making manual changes. (Read more about registry optimization.)

To have System Mechanic automatically repair registry problems when detected, enable Automatically repair registry problems on the Automated Tasks pane.
