Overview of the SafetyNet window
The Turn startup programs back on tab allows you to re-enable startup programs that were disabled by System Mechanic. (Read more about Windows startup.)
You can view the programs disabled by System Mechanic, re-enable any programs, and remove programs from the list.
The Turn startup programs back on tab displays the file name and publisher for programs that have been disabled by a System Mechanic function.
To view more information about a file, click on it and the following information will display on the left side of the window: file name, registry key, a file description, and a file classification (Read more about file classifications).
The Re-enable option adds the setting for a program back to startup. Once re-enabled, the associated program will open automatically when Windows starts.
Click on the program you want to turn back on.
On the left side of the window, click Turn it back on.
A Confirm message will display; click Yes.
A second Confirm message will display asking if you wish to exclude the item from future searches.
Click Yes to exclude the program from future searches. Once excluded, System Mechanic will skip the program during future startup processing and will not disable it.
Click No to include the program in future searches. System Mechanic will include the program in future startup processing and may disable it.
The startup program will be turned back on and will be removed from the list.
The Purge option removes an item from the list, to help you keep the listing a manageable size. Once an item is purged, you cannot re-enable the startup setting for the associated program through SafetyNet.
Click on the action you want to purge.
Click Purge from list.
A Confirm message will display; click Yes.
The startup setting will be removed from the list.
