From the Individual Tools pane, click Manage System Configuration and then click Start next to Remove Installed Programs.
The Remove Installed Programs feature allows you to thoroughly uninstall software, even if the program did not come with an uninstallation function*. You can also remove invalid uninstallation files that may be cluttering your system.
(* Uninstalling programs without an installer requires a 32-bit operating system.)
Retaining programs you are no longer using needlessly consumes drive space and memory resources. Invalid installers can cause conflicts with other software and reduce overall PC performance.
The Remove Installed Programs feature uses advanced techniques to ensure the thorough elimination of a program and all of its components.
When you first open the window, System Mechanic collects program data and then displays a list of installed programs that have a built-in, or "native", uninstallation program.
For each installed program, the window displays the program name, description, and location.
To filter the list, click Filter View and select either Invalid uninstallers or All uninstallers.
To refresh the display and reload the list, click Refresh. There will be a momentary delay as System Mechanic recollects the program data.
To remove an uninstaller from displaying in the list, select it and click Remove Entry.
When a built-in, or "native", uninstaller is available and valid, we recommend that you use it for the best results.
Valid entries are indicated with a green square; you should be able to uninstall these programs using their native uninstaller.
Invalid entries contain corrupt or missing files and can clutter your PC or cause conflicts with valid software. Invalid uninstallers display with a red square.
The available functionality depends on whether your operating system is 32-bit or 64-bit.
If the program is on the list and is valid, select it and click Start Selected Uninstaller. The native uninstaller will begin. Follow the on-screen instructions for the associated uninstaller.
Is not on the list or has an invalid uninstaller, click Uninstall Program not Listed. The window refreshes to display all of the installed programs (regardless of whether the program has a native uninstaller).
The following tabs display; click on a tab name for more information:
