PC Cleanup

To access:

From the All-in-one Tools pane, click Start next to PC Cleanup.

      - OR-

From the Individual Tools pane, click Clean Up System Clutter and then click Start next to Clean Out PC File Clutter.

What it does:

PC Cleanup automatically detects and cleans out temporary files and other useless data.

 

You can empty the Recycle Bin, and remove cookies, offline files, cache files, temporary files, and unused downloaded program files. PC Cleanup also makes specific recommendations based on an analysis of your computer's level of clutter.

 

Note: System Mechanic's installer may create temporary files that will be detected and reported as clutter after running an analysis.

Why use it:

Unneeded files clutter your computer and overtax its resources. Use PC Cleanup to eliminate this debris.

Related tasks:

To have System Mechanic automatically run PC Cleanup when excessive clutter is detected, enable Automatically clean up excessive system clutter on the Automated Tasks pane.
