Overview of PC Cleanup Wizard

The Select Actions screen allows you to designate which optimizations the PC Cleanup Wizard performs.

 

The functions available to you depend on whether or not a system analysis has recently been run:

Note: Based on the analysis, the PC Cleanup Wizard can run using recommended actions and you do not have to make selections. To use the default actions, simply click Next to start the optimizations.

No recent analysis performed

If a system analysis has not been recently performed, you can either:

Select the check box next to each desired action and then click Next to start the optimizations.

Action list based on analysis results

System Mechanic suggests recommended actions based on the last system analysis.

Note: If a deep analysis has not been run, a Reanalyze link allows you to do so.

 

You can view information about each action and then select the ones you want. If you want the PC Cleanup Wizard to run using its default recommended selections, you can simply click Next to start the repairs and optimizations.

To help you decide which actions you want to run, click on an action to show the following details:

Many actions will also display related statistics specific to your computer. For example, for the "Remove Internet Cache Files" action, the amount of Internet cache clutter will display.

Select actions

Select the check box next to each action you want to run. To the right of each action is an estimated time for how long it will take. Using information from the last analysis, actions are grouped as follows:

 

Once you've made your selections, click Next. On the Optimize screen, the PC Cleanup Wizard runs the selected optimizations.
