Overview of SSD Accelerator

This screen displays the results of the optimization.

The following details are displayed for each drive:

Drive Name (Drive Letter) - The name and letter of the drive as they appear on your system

• Hardware Description - The drive brand and model

• Free Space - The amount of available space on the drive

• File System - The type of file system used by the drive

• Performance Gain - The total drive space optimized by SSD Accelerator. (More on Performance Gain)

  Understanding Performance Gain

   

  What is Performance Gain?

  Performance Gain is an easy way to see the benefits of using the SSD Accelerator tool. By definition it is the actual amount of space on the drive that was able to be optimized by SSD Accelerator.

   

  Is SSD Accelerator optimizing part of my drive or all of it?

  SSD Accelerator ensures that your entire SSD is kept in a fully optimized state at all times.  Each time you run SSD Accelerator it attempts to optimize all free space and deleted data on the drive, but in nearly all cases some of this space will already be in an optimized state, either because it is free space that has never been used, or has been previously optimized by SSD Accelerator or another tool or feature. This already optimized space is not counted towards Performance Gain.

When you are finished viewing the results, you can click the Back button or the Start Over link to return to the Introduction screen and run the wizard again, or click Exit to close the wizard.
