Overview of Repair Hard Drive Problems wizard
The Options screen allows you to configure options for the Custom mode.
The pane shows all the hard drives on your computer, along with the size, amount of free space, and the last time it was scanned.
Select the check box next to each hard drive you want to test.
Automatically repair problems on system restart (recommended)
Select the check box if you want detected errors to be automatically fixed the next time you start or restart your computer.
Clear the check box if you want to turn automatic fixes off. This means that...
Perform full surface scan
Select the check box if you want to scan the disk to check for bad sectors, in addition to checking the reliability of files and folders.
Clear the check box if you want to analyze the reliability of files and folders without the sector scan.
