Overview of Repair Broken Shortcuts wizard
For the Automatic modes, the Automatic Options window allows you to:
Select whether you want to repair broken shortcuts – see Repair Mode.
Designate how obsolete shortcuts should be handled – see Removal.
Select the Search for and assign new targets to broken shortcuts check box if you want the wizard to attempt to locate the new location and update the shortcut. Selecting this check box adds more time to the process.
Clear the check box if you want all broken shortcuts to be removed.
Select one of the options to designate how you want to handle broken shortcuts that cannot be repaired.
Note: If you have the above "Search for and assign new targets to broken shortcuts" check box cleared, all broken shortcuts will be handled in the way you select here.
