Note: Task-specific help is also available within each window and tool; look for the Help button on the bottom of the screen.The System Shield interface provides simple access to all the security features in the program.
The navigation bar, on the left, is how you access all the major functions in System Shield.
The content pane, on the right, displays the function currently selected.
Click on a link from the navigation bar to display its functions in the content pane. Links are as follows:
Overview. View the status of your PC's security and quickly access recommended security actions.
Scan. Run virus and spyware scans on-demand. You can also access scan settings from this pane.
Protection. View the status of your real-time and email protection. You can also access protection settings from this pane.
Definitions. View information on virus and spyware definitions. You can also access definition settings from this pane.
Disinfection. Access the System Shield Quarantine and view System Shield's disinfection activity.
The menu bar contains the following options:
Settings. Opens the Configure System Shield Settings window, which allows you to change various default settings in System Shield.
Help. Opens the Help menu, which offers access to the in-product help you're currently reading, help resources on the web, software downloads and download settings, and your licensing information.

The title bar offers the following standard Windows buttons:
Minimize. Click the dash (—) to reduce the window to a button on your taskbar.
Maximize/Restore. Click the single square to fill the screen with the window. Click the double square to restore the window to its previous size.
Exit. Click the X to close System Shield.
Note: You can also move and re-size the window with standard dragging operations.
