Scheduled Scans Tab

Overview of the Settings window

iolo AntiVirus can automatically scan your entire computer on a regular schedule. The Scheduled Scans tab allows you to turn scheduled scanning on or off and allows you to designate the schedule.

 

Click a field name below for details; to the right of each field name is a brief description of the functionality.

Perform full system scans on a schedule

Turn scheduled scanning on or off.

The remaining options are available when scheduled scans are enabled:

Do not start scan unless PC has been idle for [X] minutes

Stop a scan in progress if PC is no longer idle

Set controls if you want to stop or not initiate a scan while you are working on your computer (scanning can slow processing).

If you clear these options, you can still cancel a scheduled scan:

  • Click Cancel on the countdown window that appears a few seconds prior to the scheduled scan starting.

  • Click Stop Scan on the Perform Full System Scan window.

Change (change schedule)

The Schedule section displays the current scheduled frequency and the date and time of the next scheduled scan.

 

To change the schedule, click Change.

letter.gif Note: To determine what is included in the scan, scheduled scans follows the same configurations that are set for on-demand scans.
