Overview of All Zone Security Options
The Low security level provides basic protection. Threats are blocked, but most network and Internet traffic is allowed. Most ports are open to incoming and outgoing traffic at this level.
Since much of the communication is not restricted, the Low security level is more appropriate for the Trusted Zone.
On the Viewing: Low Level Settings window, you can view the preset details, which are read-only and cannot be changed. The window has the following tabs (click on a tab name to view the detailed settings):
Defined Ports. Shows which standard ports are open to incoming or outgoing traffic.
Attacks. Shows all the known attacks that are blocked.
IntelliDefense. When enabled, shows the access for each IntelliDefense classification. You also have the option of disabling IntelliDefense.
General. Shows various settings, including default program permissions, broadcast/multicast protocols, and IGMP protocols.
Columns on each tab are resizable, sortable, and movable.
