Overview of Defragment Hard Drive wizard
On the second screen of the Defragment Hard Drive wizard, the following options are available:
Delete junk files before defragmenting drives. Select this check box to have System Mechanic run the PC Cleanup Wizard prior to defragmentation. This eliminates useless and unneeded files from being defragmented, which can speed up the defragmentation process.
Automatically defragment locked files next time Windows starts. Select this check box to have System Mechanic automatically defragment locked files the next time you start or restart your computer.
Shut down my computer automatically after defragmentation finishes. If you wish to leave your PC for an extended period of time and want the PC or System Mechanic to shut down, click More Options and select one of the following:
Restart my computer automatically after defragmentation finishes
Shut down my computer automatically after defragmentation finishes (the option that displays by default)
Shut down System Mechanic automatically after defragmentation finishes
Once you click on an option from the More Options list, the field name will update to match your selection.
When you are ready to proceed, click Next to run the defragmentation.
