Overview of Block Unwanted System Changes window
To display the System Guard icon in your system tray, select the Show System Guard icon in the system tray from the Configure System Guard tab.
This icon allows you to control alerts for Startup Guard and Browser Guard and to disable all System Guard protection.
The System Guard icon sits in your system tray. The icon:
Offers menu options, so that you can easily turn alerts on or off.
Changes appearance to indicate the state of the alerting functionality.
When you click on the System Guard icon, it opens a menu with the following options:
Disable Alerts. Turns off alerts for Startup Guard and Browser Guard. You will no longer see prompts, but any programs or functions you designated to be blocked or allowed will still be blocked or allowed.
Allow all for one minute. All programs and functions will be allowed for the next sixty seconds.
Block all for one minute. All programs and functions will be blocked for the next sixty seconds.
Shut down System Guard Alerter. Disables all System Guard protection. Any programs or functions you designated to be blocked will NOT be blocked.
Once shut down, the icon will no longer display in your system tray. To re-enable the protection, open the Block Unwanted System Changes window and click Start System Guard.
Enabled: When System Guard alerting is enabled.
In Progress: When System Guard is blocking a program or function (flashes red and then returns to the enabled display).
Disabled: When System Guard is disabled.
