From the Individual Tools pane, click Enhance Protection and then click Start next to Block Unwanted System Changes.
The Block Unwanted System Changes window allows you to configure System Guard, which offers tools that protect key settings from being changed without your knowledge.
Without your knowledge, malicious software can attempt to execute itself or include itself in your Windows startup process. (Trojans are usually designed to load at startup.) Hidden malware known as "Home page Hijackers" can change your web browser's Home page and Search page to point to their site.
Use System Guard to block these unauthorized changes to your system.
The window's first tab (Configure System Guard) allows you to turn on System Guard; click Enable System Guard and then click Yes on the confirmation window.
Once enabled, the other three tabs display, allowing you to configure settings for each of the three tools that comprise System Guard. Click a tab name below for additional instruction.
Configure System Guard. Enable, start, or disable System Guard.
Startup Guard. Control whether specified programs can be added to the Windows startup process.
Process Guard. Control whether specified programs and processes can run.
Browser Guard. Block web browser changes or set up alerts for when a change is attempted.
