Overview of the System Shield Disinfection History window
The Email Protection tab shows detailed statistics for email messages found with infections.
Columns are resizable , sortable , and movable .
For each infected email message found since the last reset*, the following information displays on the right side of the window:
Sender. Sender of the message.
Subject. The subject line of the message.
Infection. The name of the virus/infection that was detected.
Type. The type of infection, such as virus, spyware, or Trojan.
Result. The action taken by System Shield.
Direction. Indicates whether you were sending or receiving the message. Either "Incoming" or "Outgoing" displays.
Discovered. The date and time the infection was detected.
* Clicking Reset clears the entries on the window and restarts the count of infections from zero.
The Email Message History panel on the left side of the window shows historical statistics:
Since Install: Date of install. Since you installed System Shield, shows the number of email messages scanned, the number of infections found, and the number of email messages disinfected.
Since Date and time of last reset. Since the day and time you last clicked Reset (which you click to restart the count from zero), shows the number of email messages scanned, the number of infections found, and the number of email messages disinfected.
Note: Since one email message can have multiple infections, the number of infections found and the number of email messages disinfected may not be equal.
