Overview of Repair Registry Problems wizard
On the first screen of the Repair Registry Problems wizard, select a mode.
With the automatic modes, System Mechanic will automatically repair the items it can fix. For the advanced custom mode, you specify what tests to run and then repair the items you designate.
With the automatic modes, System Mechanic automatically repairs detected registry problems. The two options differ in the tests that the wizard runs to detect flaws.
Quick Optimization and Repair. Uses the most common tests to detect problems.
Complete Optimization and Repair. Allows you to designate what tests to use to search for flaws. Click Customize to open the Configure Complete Optimization and Repair Actions window, which allows you to select which tests you want to run.
Click Options to open the Automatic Optimization and Repair Options window, which allows you to set general options.
If you select one of the automatic modes, click Next to run the search and repair.
For the Custom Optimization and Repair mode, you define what tests to run. The items System Mechanic detects as errors are displayed, and then you designate which items you want to repair.
If you select the custom mode, click Next to designate the tests to run.
