Overview of Medium Level Security
The General tab shows various firewall controls that apply to the specific Zone. To follow is a list of each control, with its fixed setting and a description of its purpose.

Default program permissions are set to allow outgoing access, but block incoming access.
A default program permission provides a default, or "fall-back", position so that the firewall knows how to handle a program when other firewall controls are not in place. These permissions apply if:
The Do not show prompts - automatically use default program permissions feature is turned on; OR
You do respond to a prompt within the time period specified in the Show prompts - only use default program permissions after [X] seconds option (default is 15 seconds).

I want to change default program permissions:
Instead of the Medium security level, use the Custom level and change the options on the General tab.
Also, the High level blocks both incoming and outgoing access and the Low level allows both incoming and outgoing access.
Communication that uses a broadcast and multicast protocol to broadcast messages over a network is given both incoming and outgoing access.
Note: Other settings
in iolo Personal Firewall control one-to-one communications, but these
communications use a one-to-many format.
I want to block broadcast/multicast communication:

Idle Lock is disabled. The firewall does not lock the Zone after the PC has been idle.

Enabling the Idle Lock blocks all traffic in a Zone if you have not used your mouse or keyboard for a certain amount of time that you specify.
IGMP packets are given both incoming and outgoing access. IGMP access does not pose a significant threat, but some attacks can cause a computer to crash by sending malformed IGMP packets. (Older versions of Windows 95 and 98 are most susceptible.)
