System Shield offers various levels of virus and spyware scanning to ensure that your computer and data are continually protected.
Real-time protection continuously runs behind the scenes to scan your computer's files for viruses and spyware.
Real-time protection is enabled as a default. No configuration is required to use real-time protection, but you can change settings to suit your preferences on the Real-time tab of the Configure System Shield Settings window.
You can scan your computer at any time, from the Anti-malware pane or the Individual Tools pane.
From the Individual Tools pane, click Enhance Protection and then click Start next to one of the Scan tools.
From the Anti-malware pane, select the Scan tab, click the arrow on the Scan now button, and choose from one of the Scan tools.
After choosing an option, the Scan for Viruses and Spyware window will open and begin the scan. The Scan tools are as follows:
Scan the Entire System for Malware. Scan your whole computer, including memory, boot records, and all files and folders.
Scan a Specific Folder for Malware. Scan a single folder you select.
Scan a Specific File for Malware. Scan a single file you select.
No configuration is required to run on-demand scans, but you can change settings to suit your preferences on the On-demand tab of the Configure System Shield Settings window.
Email protection scans email messages for infections before you receive or send them.
Email protection is disabled as a default. You can turn the feature on and change settings to suit your preferences on the Email tab of the Configure System Shield Settings window.
