iolo technologies Crowned Fastest-Growing U.S. Company of the Year

Makers of #1 best-selling System Mechanic® software recognized with the Stevie® Award at 7th Annual American Business Awards(SM)

LOS ANGELES, CA – July 1, 2009 – iolo technologies has been officially named as the fastest-growing U.S. company of 2009 with up to 2500 employees, any business category, public or private. Coming just one day before iolo’s 11th anniversary, this prestigious national recognition by the American Business Awards highlights iolo’s revenue growth, international expansion, technological innovation, corporate responsibility campaigns, operational development and consistent profitability.

During its 11 years of operation, iolo has successfully established a new technology category – PC tune-up software – and taken on some of the largest consumer software companies to ultimately assert itself as the worldwide leader. The company now commands 66 percent of the PC tune-up market in the US and 75 percent in Canada, according to NPD. Privately held, 100 percent self-funded, debt-free, and profitable since inception, iolo has been one of the fastest growing companies in the Southern California region for over ten years now, consistently ranking on Deloitte Fast 50 list of the fastest growing companies every year from 2004-2007.

In winning the Stevie Award, iolo technologies overcame formidable competition from 12 other finalists and hundreds of initial entries from companies both public and private, with and without outside capital and funding, and from all industries, regions and sizes. Any company with fewer than 2,500 employees was eligible for the honor, and more than 200 prominent executives across the country participated in the judging process to determine the Finalists and Stevie Award winners.

“From two employees and a few hundred dollars in savings to the #1 fastest growing American company of 2009 and the #1 PC tune-up software company in the world, it has been an amazing 11 years and the Stevie Award truly crowns our efforts,” said Noah Rowles, CEO, who was also named as a top-ten finalist in the Executive of the Year award category. “In a time when most companies are scaling down and hoping to weather 2009’s economic turmoil, iolo continues its explosive trajectory. The lion’s share of the credit for that growth must go to the incredibly gifted team I’ve been fortunate to work with, with their relentless focus on technological innovation and customer satisfaction, as well as to the loyalty of our 22 million customers worldwide, some of whom have been using our products since the company was founded 11 years ago.”

Stevie Awards were bestowed in more than 40 categories including Fastest Growing Company of the Year, Executive of the Year, Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year, and others.  More than 2,600 nominations from companies of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted for consideration.

The awards were presented during ceremonies at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City on June 22, 2009.  The ceremonies were hosted by Cheryl Casone of Fox Business Network and broadcast nationwide on radio by the Business TalkRadio Network.
