iolo technologies’ OptiCore Ends 20 Years of PC Industry Frustration

New technology prevents low-priority programs from causing PC lags and freezes

LOS ANGELES – March 31, 2014 – The PC industry has long searched for a solution to the problem of programs of low importance compromising processor efficiency and corrupting system-wide responsiveness. iolo technologies recently broke through this frustrating problem with OptiCore™, a new technology included in System Mechanic version 12.7.

Chip manufacturers don’t discuss it publically and software companies don’t bring it up but even the latest multi-core processors are vulnerable to low priority “greedy” programs dominating a single core and slowing the PC with sporadic lags that are nearly impossible to correct.

iolo engineering tracked down the exact issue and created a highly specialized real time technology, called OptiCore, that automatically evaluates and dynamically adjusts processor resource priorities. The result? Maximum processor power delivering greater responsiveness to intensive operations such as games, video, graphics, and hard core multi-tasking. Pre-release trials show the overall PC experience to be far more enjoyable.

“OptiCore is a breakthrough that improves PC responsiveness and it’s one of the most valuable additions to System Mechanic in the past fifteen years,” said Siva Kannan, Vice President of Engineering. He added, “In fact, OptiCore is a major milestone in the history of PC optimization.”

OptiCore is one of three advanced technologies in LiveBoost™, available exclusively in System Mechanic and System Mechanic Pro.
