iolo’s System Mechanic Now Available in Dutch & German

With a strong presence in the UK and France, #1 PC tune-up maker extends its European reach to Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands.

LOS ANGELES, CA – November 25, 2008 – iolo technologies announced today that System Mechanic, the world’s most popular PC tune-up product, will now be available as local language versions in markets in Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands.

System Mechanic is already the #1 best-selling PC tune-up product in the US, Canada and the UK. However, close to 50 percent of iolo’s 21 million users worldwide come from countries where English is a second language. Last year, the company launched an aggressive localization initiative to bring local language versions of the software to new areas of the globe. In March 2008, the French version of System Mechanic was launched in an agreement with French publisher Micro Application and hit such French stores as FNAC, Auchan and Boulanger. The program became an instant hit and a month after its introduction, it already ranked as the #1 best-selling program in its category according to GFK, the French equivalent of US retail market research firm NPD.

“We are thrilled to introduce the iolo brand and our #1 best-selling System Mechanic technology to Dutch and German speakers this year, helping our existing and new customers tune up their PCs in their own languages,” said Kraig Lane, director of product management at iolo technologies.

The Dutch-language version of System Mechanic may be purchased online as an electronic download or as a boxed item in stores such as Dixons, Dynabyte, Media Markt and Makro. In Germany, System Mechanic is available in such stores as Mediamarkt, Saturn, Kaufhof and Karstadt. Across the countries, the retail price for System Mechanic is 39.95 euros (€39.95). A single license can be legally installed on up to three PCs.
