Slow Computer Giving You Fits? Research Shows You Aren’t Alone

Does your computer seem to take forever to boot up, or open a program, or send that email? Does it make you a little crazy? Well, you aren’t alone. Research has found that a slow computer now ranks as one of the most annoying domestic problems that people experience on a daily basis. A survey conducted by Harris Interactive for Crucial.com recently showed that respondents were more bothered by a sluggish PC than they were by dirty clothes dropped on the floor, dishes left in the sink or even a leaky faucet.

More than 33 percent of respondents said that they become so annoyed about computer problems that they actually yell at their PCs when processing speeds slow to a crawl. Additionally, 6 percent of respondents said they hit their computers when they don’t work properly. Many also admitted to being overcome by “computer rage” more often than “road rage.”

“It’s shocking to see just how many simple tasks around the home cause us irritation,” said Roddy McLean from Crucial.com. “Even more shocking is how much they are tolerated, despite many of them being easy to resolve. Life is too short to suffer a slow computer, especially when a performance upgrade can be done in minutes.”

Your PC doesn’t have to be a source of frustration. You can solve most of your issues just by running a PC tune-up product such as System Mechanic, which diagnoses and fixes thousands of PC problems, as well as improves the speed of PCs during program operations, startup, Internet browsing and gaming. System Mechanic is a comprehensive Windows operating system optimization suite that helps PC users automatically clean, repair and stabilize their computers while simultaneously fine-tuning processor and network settings and freeing trapped RAM for maximum speed and performance.
