How to Opt Out of Instant Checkmate: Step by Step
- Go to the PeopleConnect Suppression Center. Visit suppression.peopleconnect.us. Instant Checkmate is part of the PeopleConnect network: this single process covers Instant Checkmate, TruthFinder, Intelius, and US Search.
- Enter your email address. Agree to the terms and click Continue.
- Verify your email. Check your inbox for a confirmation email from PeopleConnect and click the verification link.
- Enter your date of birth. Complete the verification checkbox and click Continue.
- Enter your full legal name. Check the “This is my legal name” box and click Continue.
- Find your record. Browse results to locate the profile that matches your information.
- Set your record to “Suppressed.” Select “Suppressed” from the “Desired Behavior” dropdown and click Save.
- Verify removal. Search your name on Instant Checkmate, TruthFinder, Intelius, and US Search after a few days to confirm all network sites have removed your listing.
PeopleConnect Network: One Request, Four Sites
The PeopleConnect network is one of the few cases where a single opt-out covers multiple people search sites. Your Instant Checkmate opt out also removes you from TruthFinder, Intelius, and US Search. If you’ve already submitted an opt-out through TruthFinder or Intelius, your Instant Checkmate listing should already be addressed.
