How to Opt Out of Intelius: Step by Step
- Go to the PeopleConnect Suppression Center. Visit suppression.peopleconnect.us. Intelius is part of the PeopleConnect network: this single process covers your Intelius opt out along with TruthFinder, Instant Checkmate, and US Search.
- Enter your email address. Agree to the terms and click Continue.
- Verify your email. Check your inbox for a confirmation email from PeopleConnect and click the verification link.
- Enter your date of birth. Complete the verification checkbox and click Continue.
- Enter your full legal name. Check the “This is my legal name” box and click Continue.
- Find your record. Browse results to locate the profile that matches your information.
- Set your record to “Suppressed.” Select “Suppressed” from the “Desired Behavior” dropdown and click Save.
- Verify removal. Search your name on Intelius, TruthFinder, Instant Checkmate, and US Search after a few days to confirm all are removed.
PeopleConnect Network Coverage
One Intelius opt-out request also initiates removal from TruthFinder, Instant Checkmate, and US Search, all part of the same PeopleConnect network. This is one of the few cases where a single removal request covers multiple sites.
